Paddy Power Betfair using secret tests in effort to tackle problem gamblers

Paddy Power Betfair is conducting secret tests on problem gamblers as it attempts to change its approach to an issue which it admits is damaging its reputation, The Sunday Business Post can reveal.

The experiment emerged at a behind-closed-doors seminar organised by the government to discuss future licensing and regulation where Tanya Horgan, the company’s chief risk officer, admitted that past efforts to intervene with addicts had failed.
