Ornua reports 18% rise in 2015 earnings

Sales of Kerrygold butter reached a record €740 million

Ornua, the former Irish Dairy Board, has reported an 18 per cent rise in 2015 earnings to €58.8 million as revenue rose by nine per cent to €2.5 billion in the first year following the removal of EU milk quotas.

Sales of its flagship Kerrygold butter reached a record €740 million as it became the top butter brand in Germany and the Number Three branded butter in the US.
