Online radio station to plug local rockers

Irish musicians are set to receive a boost with the development of a new online station which will exclusively play Irish music.

The PlayIrish digital station has been developed by a number of industry heavyweights, including Peter McPartlin, former chief executive of Today FM; Liam Thompson, former group programme director of Communicorp, the company behind Newstalk, Today FM and 98FM; and Sinéad Troy, managing director of the Irish Association of Songwriters, Composers and Authors (IASCA)....
