One in three regional plans not reaching key targets

Some 33 per cent of enterprise plans fail to reduce unemployment

One in three of the government’s regional enterprise plans failed to achieve a key target for job creation.

Minister for Enterprise Heather Humphreys is currently doing a nationwide tour launching new versions of plans for seven different regions.

The original regional enterprise plans for 2015-2017 had targets of reducing unemployment to more than 1 per cent above the state average, which is currently 6 per cent.
