Younger motorists significantly more law-abiding, report reveals

And while 2,021 young men under 21 were done for speeding, nearly five times as many males over 66 committed the same offence with 9,513 tickets issued to this age group.

Those age 31-40 were the worst offenders for driving while using a mobile phone with 5,615 offences while 294 under 21-year-olds were caught for the same offence.

A total of 96,610 male drivers were caught speeding while 64,426 women were done for the same offence.
