Number signing on down another 3,600 in May

The latest figures from the Central Statistics Office show that there were 309,200 people on the Live Register in May, a drop of 3,600 from the previous month. The figure is adjusted to take seasonal variations into account.

The unadjusted figure was 307,059, up by just over 1,200 from April but more than 38,500 down on the same month last year.
