New Irish med-tech firms win international contracts

Medical start-ups expand into major overseas markets including the US

Irish med-tech start-ups are winning major hospital and distribution contracts overseas and some are gearing up for even more expansion.

Many of the start-ups are eyeing up the US and taking on additional funding to tackle the 50-state market.

Belfast-based start-up Axial3D is raising €2.5 million for a stateside expansion and is preparing to open an office on the east coast.
