Retired senior garda flags conflict of interest as legal challenge to Harris appointment continues

The government’s hiring of Drew Harris as Garda Commissioner has come under renewed fire due to the police chief’s previous links to British intelligence while in the PSNI.

A retired senior garda with security expertise has told The Sunday Business Post that “no other country would make such an appointment and certainly the UK would not if the shoe were on the other foot”.
