New car sales have beaten 2015 total already

Motor industry body says growth slowed in July

Figures from the Society of the Irish Motor Industry (SIMI) show that new car sales so far this year have exceeded the total for the whole of last year.

Hyundai is the leading make of car for 2016 so far, followed by Toyota and Ford, according to SIMI's figures.
