Nama appoints receiver to Farnham as luxury resort continues to trade

Resort’s former Anglo Irish Bank and now Nama debt is attached to McCabe family

Debt agency Nama has appointed a receiver to Farnham Resort, which runs the luxury Farnham Estate hotel in Cavan.

The motivation behind the move isn’t known, but several fund buyers have expressed an interest in acquiring the property.

It continues to trade as normal, according to Aiden Murphy of Crowe Horwath, which was appointed to act as receiver.
