Mortgage rules on deposits to get a review, says governor

Central Bank's Philip Lane reveals mortgage rules could be adjusted upwards or downwards

New Central Bank governor Philip Lane has said the controversial mortgage rules on deposits will be reviewed this summer.

The mortgage rules have particularly affected first-time buyers.

In an interview with the Irish Times, Lane said the rules could be adjusted upwards or downwards.
