More than 1,000 students to display projects at BT Young Scientist Exhibition

The 52nd exhibition will be officially opened by the President today

The 52nd BT Young Scientist and Technology Exhibition opens at the RDS in Dublin today with more than 1,000 students displaying projects over the coming days.

A total of 550 school student projects were shortlisted from more than 2,000 entries for display at the event, which runs until Saturday. Of the 1,134 students taking part in the event, 68 per cent are girls.

Official judging begins today and the winner will be presented with a cheque for €5,000 as well...
