More than 100 child abductions investigated in last four years

Gardaí have investigated more than 100 child abductions over the last four years, according to new figures. However, the figures include abductions that were made by estranged parents involved in a dispute over the custody of the child.

Fianna Fáil Dublin Mid-West TD John Curran said he had been prompted to seek the figures due to an increasing number of reports on social media about actual and attempted child abductions.
