More cheese please: Bord Bia focuses on dairy exports to Asia

Bord Bia has ramped up its market research into Asia even further in a bid to tap into burgeoning demand in the region.

The agency has invested heavily in research into Asian markets in recent years.

Last year, Irish food exports to Asia totalled €1.3 billion – up from €250 million ten years ago – and accounted for 10 per cent of Irish produce shipped abroad.
