Monica Leech sues top law firm over libel case fees

The communications expert lodged High Court proceedings in the past week after a public parting of ways with the firm over fees, five years ago

PR consultant Monica Leech is suing blue-chip law firm McCann FitzGerald, which represented her in her record setting €1.87 million libel action against Independent Newspapers.

The communications expert lodged High Court proceedings in the past week after a public parting of ways with the firm over fees, five years ago.

In 2012, McCann FitzGerald told the then High Court president Nicholas Kearns that there had been “a complete breakdown” in the relationship with the client....
