Mick Wallace released after two hours in Limerick prison

Fine relates to his climbing of a fence at Shannon airport

Wexford TD Mick Wallace has been released from Limerick Prison after just two hours according to reports.

Wallace had been arrested on foot of a bench warrant issued over his non-payment of a fine related to a breach of security at Shannon airport in 2014.

The TD had been present at an anti-war protest at the airport along with fellow TD Clare Daly and both had climbed the fence at Shannon to "inspect" US military aircraft...
