2022 was a year that began with fear and ended with a profound sense of frustration for the thousands of families affected by the country’s still-unfolding defective blocks crisis.

And for many around the country, it’s far from clear that the dawn of a new year will bring any more certainty, even as the government promises progress on a new scheme to provide redress to thousands whose homes are crumbling.
