Luas and Dublin Bus fares to rise in December

Fare rises will yield one per cent in extra revenue for National Transport Authority

Regular users of Dublin Bus could be paying €70 more a year from December 1, while regular users of the Luas could be paying €60 a year, thanks to new pricing rules from the National Transport Authority (NTA).

The fare increases overall will yield an average of one per cent of a revenue increase for the NTA, as well as encouraging people to move to the new Leap card system, according to chief executive Anne Graham.
