‘Lollipop ladies’ suffer abuse from aggressive parents

Wardens have reported serious incidents with agitated motorists who fail to stop

School wardens have been physically assaulted, threatened and verbally abused by motorists and parents in Ireland, according to information released under the Freedom of Information Act.

Some of these wardens, also known as lollipop ladies or men, have reported serious incidents with aggressive motorists who fail to stop when the warden is crossing with children and who ignore traffic lights and stop signs.
