Landlord featured in TV exposé takes papers to court

A landlord featured in an RTÉ Investigates programme on substandard rental accommodation has launched High Court proceedings against the Irish Times and Independent Newspapers.

Both newspapers wrote reports on Christian Carter, a 31-year-old from Monkstown, Co Dublin.

The RTÉ exposé, called Nightmare to Let, looked at chronic overcrowding in the private rental market. The current affairs show aired in November of last year.
