Early this summer, Michael Vaughan went back and looked over the price increases he had plotted in the 17 years since he built his hotel in Lahinch, Co Clare. Typically, any increase at Vaughan’s Lodge Hotel had been around 2.5 per cent, but this year he has upped his prices by 15 per cent compared to the level they were at in 2019.
