Kennedy named as buyer of Kildare’s Magee barracks

Jersey-based developer currently involved in pre-planning discussions with Kildare County Council

Magee Barracks in Kildare town, the 50-acre site which sold last year for €8.2 million, was bought by Irish property developer David Kennedy, The Sunday Business Post can reveal.

Jersey-based developer Kennedy is currently involved in pre-planning discussions with Kildare County Council while architectural firm John Spain and Associates is involved in preparing a design for the site.

However, there has been no indication of just what Kennedy plans for the site, and no planning...
