Dublin Airport says it had the busiest day in its 76-year history when more than 100,000 passengers travelled through the airport on Friday, June 24.

The airport's managing director Vincent Harrison said every week since May 15 had been busier than its busiest week in 2015. He said he expected this to be the case for every week through to early October.
