Irish TV buyer plans gradual relaunch

Elgin Loane, owner of the Irish Post, bought out Irish TV for a six-figure sum

Elgin Loane, the London-based buyer of the assets of Irish TV, is to relaunch it on a more gradual scale and reopen an office in its former Mayo headquarters.

The owner of the Irish Post is also looking at launching a website, bearing the name of the newspaper, that would be focused on a domestic, rather than diaspora, audience.

Minister for Communications Denis Naughten signed off last Thursday on the deal for the Irish Post...
