Irish Times may bid for Examiner

The Irish Times is understood to be considering a bid for the Irish Examiner newspaper, according to sources familiar with the matter.

The Cork-based newspaper, which is owned by Landmark Media Investments, is engaged in a process to deal with its legacy debt. KPMG are working as advisers.
