Irish clubs demand meeting with FAI over governance issues

It is a ‘new low’ for Irish football as funding is pulled from FAI and vital corporate sponsors start to waver

This weekend, numerous factions of the Irish “football family” are in open rebellion.

The Sunday Business Post has learned that the body representing League of Ireland clubs is seeking an urgent meeting with the FAI over finance and governance concerns.

Flurries of late-night texts have pinged between John Delaney and League of Ireland figures as he attempts to quell concerns that could jeopardise his and the board of directors’ survival.
