Irish boxer Michael O'Reilly fails doping test on eve of Olympics

News comes as Minister for Sport Shane Ross expresses wish for dope-free games

Earlier today, the story was broken by the Irish Examiner that one of Team Ireland's eight boxers had been tested and found to have the presence of a banned substance in his system.

The boxer said he will appeal the result and he has tweeted that he still intends to fight on September 12.
