Investors in immigrant visa scheme sue Huawen founder in Chinese court

One of Ireland’s biggest cash-for-visa brokers is now looking for backers for a five-star hotel with a golf course and luxury villas and apartments on Croatia’s Adriatic coast

Kai Dai, a Chinese entrepreneur behind an Irish company called Huawen Foundation Limited, which is the Irish arm of his wider Kylin Prime group.

At the peak of the pandemic, with some investors demanding their money back and some former employees looking for unpaid wages, one of Ireland’s biggest cash-for-visa brokers was working to raise up to €300 million for a luxury Croatian golf resort, and to use other funds to build a catering college in a Monaghan hotel with a Patrick Kavanagh theme.
