Veteran developer Johnny Ronan has refinanced his Venetian-style palazzo on Burlington Road at the heart of Dublin 4, with the backing of Rietumu Banka.

The Latvian bank, which is one-third owned by billionaire financier Dermot Desmond, is understood to be examining other deals in Dublin as part of its international expansion.
