Ireland’s popular heritage sites risk deterioration and closure due to a shortfall in state funding, a group representing visitor attractions has warned.
Last year, the Department of Arts, Heritage and the Gaeltacht asked groups to make recommendations for its Heritage Ireland 2030 plan.
In its submission, the Association of Visitor Experiences and Attractions (AVEA) outlined a number of suggestions.
