IDA Ireland plans to spend €6 million removing hazardous medical waste from a site near Dublin airport, which it acquired without knowing the lands were used as an illegal dump.
Between 1997 and 2000, the agency tasked with attracting foreign investment to Ireland bought a number of sites in Belcamp, north Dublin, that run alongside the N32 (now R139) carriageway.
The agency was not aware the lands, which were purchased for a combined £6 million, contained illegally...
