The Mueller report on alleged Russian interference in the 2016 election that sensationally swept Donald Trump into the White House failed to produce a smoking gun. But many more questions remain to be answered

His summary concludes that US president Donald Trump did not enter a criminal conspiracy with Russia to interfere with the outcome of the 2016 election. The key question of whether or not Trump obstructed justice by seeking to impede the investigation was left unresolved by Special Counsel Robert Mueller.
