The Government has published its

proposals for changes to the budgetary process which are aimed at giving the Oireachtas a greater role.

Finance Minister Michael Noonan and Minister for Public Expenditure & Reform Paschal Donohoe have written to the chair of the Committee on Arrangements for Budgetary Scrutiny John Paul Phelan outlining the plans.
