Sportsman helped lift the Ryder Cup for Europe in 1989

Golfer Christy O’Connor Junior has passed away, at the age of just 67.

The Galway-native is best known for his two-iron approach shot to the 18th hole at the Belfry that eventually won the Ryder Cup for Europe in 1989.
