Glanbia seeks go-ahead for major plant expansion

Wexford Cheese brand to double peak plant capacity

Glanbia Ingredients Ireland is to seek planning permission for a major expansion at its Wexford cheese plant.

The proposed €35m investment is supported by Enterprise Ireland and will double peak milk processing capacity at the plant on the outskirts of Wexford town.

The investment will secure the future of the plant’s 48 employees, as well as generating 60-70 jobs during the construction phase.
