Gardaí released rapist Berkley three days before charging him

It has emerged that the Gardaí released rapist Eoin Berkley three days before charging him with the brutal attack on a Spanish student last year, despite him breaching his bail conditions.

The 25-year-old was detained as a suspect following the rape, but was released on July 18, 2017, as he denied the allegations and gardaí had insufficient evidence to press charges.
