Galway LGBT+ centre may close amid cash crunch

Teach Solais asked HSE for €90k – but got just €1k

The Galway-based LGBT+ resource centre Teach Solais has warned that it faces closure unless it can secure sustainable funding.

Teach Solais is the only resource centre for people identifying as gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender and queer in the west of Ireland. The Galway branch of the LGBT helpline, HIV testing, counselling, social and well-being events and drop-in sessions are all run out of Teach Solais.
