Fuel prices push June inflation higher

Motor insurance still soaring, CSO figures show

Official figures show that consumer prices rose more quickly last month as higher oil prices drove fuel prices higher.

The Central Statistics Office said prices rose by 0.7 per cent from May to give an annual rate of 0.4 per cent. The annual inflation rate had been zero in May and negative for the previous three months.
