Former FG spin doctor lobbies politicians for tobacco giant

Fine Gael’s former head of communications Vincent Gribbin has been lobbying the party’s TDs and senators on behalf of cigarette giant Imperial Tobacco.

It’s the latest effort by big tobacco companies to target Fine Gael politicians, who have been sent hundreds of emails by cigarette makers in the last three years, resulting in dozens of meetings on Ireland’s anti-tobacco policies.
