Former Enterprise Ireland chairman Hugh Cooney left almost €2.3 million in his will.

Records filed at the Probate Office in Dublin show that the accountant, who passed away in October after a two-year battle with cancer, left €2,283,921.

Cooney died on October 19 last year, aged 63, at his home in the Dublin suburb of Foxrock. He was survived by his wife Nuala and five children, Eva, Fiona, Hugh, Gwen and Laura.
