Five funds vie for Project Maeve loan book

The bidding war for debt attached to the G Hotel and other properties of Galway developer Gerry Barrett has begun.

Five funds are believed to have submitted bids for the loan book, called Project Maeve, including New York fund Marathon and hotel investor Starwood.

Earlier in the process, Goldman Sachs – which bought debt attached to the Dublin Radisson Blu hotel – had shown interest in the book, but it is not known whether it...
