Fifty nursing home residents evacuated as River Moy bursts banks

In the early hours this morning 48 residents had to be evacuated from a nursing home in Co Mayo after the River Moy burst its banks. The residents from Blackrocks Nursing Home in Foxford were taken to various other care centres in the region by emergency services.

And 14-year-old girl scout who was swept to sea while walking with her troop near Wexford's Hook Head is in a critical condition.
