IRELAND packs as much scientific as literary punch yet we’re far more comfortable applauding the work of Yeats and Joyce than Robert Boyle and other leading Irish scientists, the organisers of a major think-tank say.

The public will join scientists, academics, historians, philosophers and performers in Lismore, County Waterford this weekend for the fifth Annual Robert Boyle Summer School which runs from this Thursday, June 23 onwards.
