Farmer Reid awaits decision on epic legal battle with IDA

Farmer Thomas Reid will find out this coming Thursday in the Supreme Court whether he will be forced by the IDA to leave his 250-year-old home in Co Kildare, where his family has lived for three generations.

Reid, 54, whose historic residence Hedsor House sits on 72 acres of land beside multibillion-dollar chipmaker Intel, has fought a five-year legal battle to stop the IDA purchasing his house by compulsory order.
