Fáilte Ireland targeting €140m in business tourism

Every conference delegate is worth €1,400 to the economy

Fáilte Ireland is targeting €140 million worth of conferences in 2016 after securing conferences worth €128 million in 2015.

“Everything we target in business tourism is international. We’re interested in moving people around the country, we’re only interested in getting people into the country,” said Miriam Kennedy, head of business tourism and events at Fáilte Ireland.
