Fáilte Ireland is planning a 100,000-person New Year’s festival party that would rival other large end-of-year celebrations across the world.

The state agency, in tandem with Dublin City Council, has sought to appoint a third-party to organise a large-scale New Year’s festival spread across a number of days.
