European Commission considers ‘illegal state’ aid complaints in equestrian industry

The European Commission is considering two separate complaints about the Irish state’s funding of Horse Sport Ireland, The Sunday Business Post can reveal.

One of the complaints was made by a Co Clare horse breeder called Dr Tom Reed, who runs Morningside Stud, while the other is from a British-based breeder called Henk Minderman, who runs the Breeders Elite studbook in Worcester.
