ESRI: cuts spell disaster for school completions

An unpublished report on the state’s flagship stay-in-school programme has warned that further funding cuts could seriously compromise the scheme.

The School Completion Programme (SCP), which aims to prevent vulnerable children dropping out of formal education, has had almost one third of its budget slashed in recent years.
