Enterprise Ireland worker out sick for 19 years

Agency hadn’t heard from some staff in at least five years, according to audit report

An employee of the state agency Enterprise Ireland has been on sick leave from the organisation for almost two decades, The Sunday Business Post has learned.

Internal audit reports seen by this newspaper reveal that four employees of the agency were on sick leave for at least eight years, with one member of staff on sick leave for 19 years.
