Dublin topped Europe airport list last year

Figures show that terrorist attacks took their toll on traffic despite strong year

ACI Europe said passenger numbers at Dublin last year rose by 11.5 per cent, reaching 27.9 million. This was the strongest growth of any ‘group one’ airport – which is defined as any European airport used by more than 25 million passengers a year.

Though European airports broke the two billion passengers mark for the first time last year, terrorist attacks took their toll on some countries.
